meals & snacks
At our very first gathering of women (pre-NINE!), we prepared every meal together in the kitchen.
We opened up, connected and learned cooking techniques, recipes and LAUGHED A LOT.
Kym and Joanne have decided to bring this experience to NINE Wellness and give you a chance to get in the kitchen and learn with us! Don't stress about how much you do, or don't know, in the kitchen. We will have experts with us and will keep us focused on creating great food and having a great time together!
off site adventure
Bring your hiking boots, a water bottle, comfy workout clothes and a camera: we're headed to the famous Camelback Mountain together for a sunrise & sunset hike! Regardless of your fitness level, we will have an option for everyone. We want you to feel safe and comfortable, while gently challenged to reach a fitness goal. This will be epic!
intuitive energy work
At each NINE event, we have an intuitive energy healer.
At Wellness, she will be teaching us how to identify energy and understand our intuition more deeply. The goal of this class is to open ourselves up to experience more clarity, healing and confidence. Our advice is that you come with an open mind (no judgments or assumptions) so that you are in a place to reap the benefits of the lessons.

Let's dive in and figure out where you could use healthy boundaries in your life: marriage, relationships, raising children, work, extended family, school, exercise, food, self care....the list goes on.
We believe that our mental health is just as important as our physical health. At NINE, we have a therapist available for you to talk to.
Sound helps to facilitate shifts in our brainwave state by using sound bowls, drums, gongs, etc. This synchronizes our fluctuating brainwaves by providing a stable frequency which the brainwave can attune to. By using rhythm and frequency, we can entrain our brainwaves and it then becomes possible to down-shift our normal beta state (normal waking consciousness) to alpha (relaxed consciousness), and even reach theta (meditative state) and delta (sleep; where internal healing can occur).
A sound therapy treatment is both a passive and participatory experience. The passive aspect is that you become more relaxed by laying down and slowing your breath. By doing this, you prepare yourself to become the receiver of sound. It's in this place of stillness that you participate by becoming more open and aware of each sound that comes in. Sound helps create the pathway to this place of stillness the same as a mantra helps you to arrive at the still point of meditation.
For our NINE Alumni: this experience is in place of NINE RETREAT! We will not have RETREAT this year.
"I'm a mother of two daughters sharing her journey towards a happier and healthier life, one rep at a time. I have always struggled with my self image. Becoming a mother at 21 was hard for me. In some ways I felt "robbed" of my childhood and my "youth". Not because I couldn't enjoy living like a 21 year old's life, but because my body had changed dramatically after being pregnant and since that happened I slowly began to hate my self image. I've always struggled getting into shape and focusing a life around my health. I began having low opinions of myself, which I believed for the longest time was modesty, until it became a form of self hate that quickly turned into a form of self destruction and depression.
In July 2013 I started a fitness/health journey, making large changes in my lifestyle with how I viewed food and exercise. This journey hasn’t been all sunshine. There have been moments that I was ready to give in. If it wasn’t from the support of my husband, friends, and family I would’ve walked away. Throughout the process I remember feeling more energized, happier, and a fighting spirit within me started to burn brighter. I began to see the progress in my own eyes and I was amazed to see what I accomplished in a short period of time."
